    Good day guys J
I’ve recently bought an electronic dual ballast. Unfortunately I do not have a picture of it
but I have managed to read the wiring diagram and have tested the ballast. I was told that this is a T5 39W ballast, however I have read the lamp requirements and to me it looks like it can handle different lamps as well as their difference in wattage.
Below is what i have taken of the ballast :
    Lamp
    T8 38W-36W-30W-18W-15W
    T5 FQ 39W-24W / T5 FH 14W
    TC-L/TC-F 36W-24W-18W
Tell me if I am correct in saying that I could run two T8 lamps of any of the above wattage listed
as well as any of the above T5 lamps?
    Also would the below work?
Could I run two T5 lamps, one at 39W and another at 24W ?
    Could I run one T8 lamp at 30W and a T5 at 24W?
Also what does the FQ and the FH in the T5 category stand for?
And what type of lamps are the TC-L/TC-F ?

you cant run two tubes with different wattages on a ballast.

Stick with two normal 39w T5 and you will be fine.

ok, but from the lamp specs given. does this ballast allow me to use eg : 2X T5 @24W or 2X T8 @30W... reason i ask is if i cant get a specific wattage at my LFS then i would have to opt for a lower wattage in both lamps.

Rather stick to the correct watt T5's.
If your local LFS doesnt have the correct tubes, check out the sponsers forum, im sure one of them can ship.

    yes, you can either run 2 * 24W or 2* 39W
    Cannot mix them

    Is it an Osram ballast?
