So if I take the amount Tshwane hits me for "Energy" and divide that by the units, is that the cents/kw-hr value?
If so, my rate is 55.75cents/kw-hr
And then every 100 watts that runs 24 hours a day gives me a value of R1.34
Is that then 1.34 for a day?
So roughly R40.75 per month for a 100w appliance! :029:
    Is my figures right?

yeah its right, but only if you run that applicance for 24hrs a day.

you'll be suprized how much it adds up to at the end of the day/month

man you guys are suckers for pain. DONT work it out, ignorance is bliss. Blame it on the tumble drier, the underfloor heating....shees even a hairdrier, but never say that our tanks take money to run!

Lol, I am with you crispin. A hairdrier and tumble drier are the route to all electricity evils. My tanks hardly use any electricity. :whistling:

I think heater and chillers don't work 24/7 so that why they wont work out at 200 a month for a chiller/heater.
