As long as water can never drip onto it. A lot of guys have multiple multiplugs under their tanks.

My fishroom I got all the plugs above the tank. There is no wires even touching the ground.

My display in the house, Got all the plugs next to the tank, lifted on a plastic crate. Floods can only touch the wires, no connection points are on the floor.

The Radion light units, plus the Vortech pumps, Got all their power supplies and controllers on the shelf above the tank. No way that any of that can get wet. One big multiplug on the shelf with long cord running up to the shelf.

if its going under the tank make a cover for it and ensure all wires use drip loops

One thing that I can guarantee you will happen. Can put money on that.

You will flood your tank. That is something that all reefers had done before, multiple times, and will do again. Does not matter how advanced your system is. Something as simple as the pipe you do your water change with, falls out of the bucket. Happened to me today.
