The new Eheim AquaLight LED is another LED aquarium light aimed towards the broad, nano aquarium market. The Eheim AquaLight uses a small multichip LED to push out around 3,100 lux of light in the 6,500K spectrum. This light hits heavy in the natural daylight spectrum so it is not very desirable over a nano reef tank but could be a good choice over a small freshwater planted aquarium.*After seeing the AquaLight LEDs at InterZoo last year mounted over the*Eheim AquaLife Nano*aquariums we can say the fixture*probably doesn’t have enough power to grow more than moss in a freshwater aquarium and mushroom coral in a saltwater tank.
