Eggcrate shortage?

its seems as though the local supplier of eggcrate has closed down here in east london, does anyone know where and at what price i could obtain a sheet or two of it.. current prices in PE are in the region of R250 per sheet

I was told that it is not worth importing it anymore!!!!!!!!!

Have placed an importing order for my own shop ETA 03-01-2009

If there are left after I used in my own units & helped my customers, I will post others on this forum.
 
the price went from R135 to R55 to R99 to R250... hectic.. i dont think it is as popular with the electritians as they are all using reflectors in their units now...

I send packages from the US to Swaziland to my brother on occasion, and shipping costs aren't so bad. If need be, we have these big mega-home improvement stores like Home Depot and Menards, that regularly stock it in the lighting department that I could send. Just an option if you all get cuaght empty handed. John
 
i can get something very similar, how does one know if the plastic is safe?
