    looking at the pic again, not sure its a true eel..not maybe from a brackish tank ?

    honestly im stumped

    ok well i was taking the p@$@%#@@ a little, you know testing masa members as you suggested.

    google under bathwater things, i'm sure you will find it there.

    its NOT a marine fish or eel.

    Ok now i will get back to imporatnt stuff ...going to watch 7de laan or kill aptasia. :lol:

    BTW what is it crispin....i was thinking a FW loach of sorts...maybe a weather loach

    i genuinely have no idea :) i'll ask henk hugo or sean K....you know those bath water converts :)

    LOL at killing aptasia that IS better than 7de laan!

    Looks like some sort of Polypteres or a Channa.

    going with gawie on 1/2 of his id...dont think its Channa (snakehead) species...but one cant see the dorsal fins

    would also take a WILD guess...Polypterus

    then again...gave up bathtubs for a more expensive hobby ;)

    Same here :thumbup:

    I did keep a lot of Freshwater eels, never liked snakeheads and Polyterus though so I reckoned it had to be one of the two:)

    Never kept FW eels buy dit try a Polypterus once...weird thing. If i had to narrow my guess (from an OLD FW giude) P Senegalus...

    Look like a Rope fish or thats what I called it when I was still playing in the bath water.
