    WIRELESS ENABLED:

Wouldn’t it be cool if the Radion communicated wirelessly with other Radion units and coordinated with other EcoTech equipment?
    Well, it does.
Radion lights will communicate with any EcoSmart “w” enabled VorTech pumps in addition to any future equipment designed to work on the EcoSmart platform. Coordinated night mode, storms and other light- and water-synchronized features are what you can expect from the wireless functionality that comes standard with the Radion.

    BATTERY BACKUP:

The Radion is fully compatible with the EcoTech Battery Backup.
In the event of a power outage, lack of light energy over the aquarium results in corals switching from photosynthesis (producing oxygen) to respiration (consuming oxygen). When used with a Battery Backup accessory, the Radion emits low levels of light intended to prevent corals from respiring, and therefore; your Radion will help to maintain an oxygen-rich environment for your fish during this critical time period.

Gents gents gents Lets look at it for what it is, from a car perspective:

If you want a fast car you can :
A)put a turbo and some nitrous in your engine and it will be as fast as a Ferrari (granted only in a straight line)

    b) Buy a Ferrari

I think its more like buying two of the exact type car parts. (Cree LED's)
    1. You build the car yourself and design and build your own body.
2.You let a manufacturer of cars put it together with a nice management system and a body that some
    expert designed.

With NR 1 you will have a much cheaper car but NR 2 will have a bit more speed , be better looking , might be more reliable and have a manufactures guarantee and backup.

I would need 3 of those, what a laugh, no offense intended lanzo. All offense goes to Ecotech for this attempted rip-off. And any1 who says that this is the Ferrari or whatever of lights, you cant possibly justify that price by any means

yes i agree, the price is more than too much, but just think on the electricity bill saving, it can pay for itself within in 8months, having said that how often do these "led globes" be replaced for optum efficiency?

LEDs dont degrade with time as there is no gas in the light. it is solid state.

usually they come with a 50000to 60000 hour life rating.
