    hey all

im needing a good suggestion for a DVD to purchase for my kids.. my children adore marine life and are glued to the oceanworld 3d dvd they got as a gift earlier this year.. i have heard fantastic reviews from people over the Blue planet dvd collection.. but generally from non reefers...

can anyone here comment on this collection?

The "Earth" Collection is also quite good. I really enjoyed it. Extremely educational.

But still fine for their dad :p

I really enjoyed Under The Sea (narrated by Jim Carrey).
The Blue Planet series is pretty good. Very informative and well filmed.

I think your kids will love Dolphin Tale. Its not a documentary but a movie based on a true story. The movie is about a friendship between a boy and a dolphin(Winter) who's tail had to be removed for her to survive.

Its a very nice movie but you would have to wait till the 20th to obtain it legally.:whistling:

    Trailer: Dolphin Tale

More info about Winter: Clearwater Marine Aquarium

*Edit* saw there is also a documentary about her.

The BBC Planet Earth series is fantastic. It is not dedicated to underwater only, but is wonderful and includes some never to be seen again footage of cave exploration in South America. It does include the sardine run, ice diving witth leopard seals, and cave diving.
