    Hey guys

My DSB`s sand level is a bit low and I would like to make it 15 cm, can you please advice me on how to do that.
Do I just add sand or 1cm at a time?
DSB has been running for almost 1 year now.

    O, just to add I am increasing the size from 60cm X 30cm to 80cm X 30cm.

    thanks

Why do you want to make it 15cm? 10 - 12cm is fine, there has been no evidence that any deeper than that is any more beneficial.

If however you do want to increase the depth of your DSB then do it slowly, add about half a cm then give it a week or two for the life to migrate through the new sand to the top and continue like that until you have reached your required depth. If you were to dump 5cm of sand on top of an already established DSB you would effectively suffocate all life that is in the upper layers and kill everything.

Bump it up slowly to 10 - 12cm's and it'll be perfect. :)
