My new ocean view is setup and running for a couple of months now.

    The tank:
    Dimensions: 2000 x 800 x 800
    Starfire glass

    Equipment:
    Pacific Sun Hyperion LEDs
    3000s Bubble Blaster skimmer
Tunze 6105's (currently 2, 2 more to be added)
One Vortech MP40 (with battery backup) - Eskom inspired.
    Carbon/phos reactor
Aquamedic Calcium reactor (to be connected)
Aquamedic Nitrate reactor (to be connected)
    Aquamedic ½HP Chiller

    Livestock:
Currently mainly tangs (Big Blond Naso, Purple, Atlantic and yellow)
Some springer damsels, royal gramma, red spotted goby and a flame hawk

    Story:
I had a different tank in my living room. Tank was not perfectly level and after a year I noticed silicone coming loose on the edge which carried most of the pressure. I did not fancy having 1000+ liter of salt water through the living room and though the tank would probably hold I couldn't take the chance.

Found this new tank from a reefer that packed up after 5 months and decided to rather take in the new tank than strip and seal the older tank (with more scratches).

Unfortunately my livestock was housed with a friend while I was setting up the new tank. Long story short - failure at his house and we both lost all our livestock. So had to start from scratch.

Old tank I resealed the corner where the silicone was coming off, added extra bracing and its now in my garage waiting to become a predator tank one day. (Garage can handle 1000+l of salt water if things go wrong!)[IMG]

@Marine007 looking good there. So much space for fish and corals. Looking forward to seeing your tank evolve.

Been a number of long hard months - little time and even less money to spend on the reef.

Reef is doing well though - have sponges and mussels/clams growing and even my torch coral decided to start to multiply.
New rose bubble tip nemmie is latest addition - looking forward to seeing where it decides to relocate.

Aiptasia is however getting out of control. I have 10 peppermint shrimps in the tank, but they are on strike or go slow at the moment.

Some shots of the tank, corals and fish.

Nice system, bigger tanks just provide so much more space for the fish to go around.
    Like that goby.
