hello barend, welcome to masa i dont think ive welcomed ypou before :)

dragon wrasses can be real terrors and shift stones and rocks of amazing sizes (they can be useful in fragging plating montiporas though) and def are not worth keeping in a reef tank.

    how big is the tank?

I have a feeling your best bet will be to unpack the tank and catch the wrasse that way and redo your aquascaping at the same time.

    Hi chrispin
I have been around but thank you for the welcome. I did that before and stressed out my fish a lot. Would prefer not to do that but it may be the only way to catch the rascal.

After he or she is caught I will sell him back to the LFS that gave me the wrong advice in the first place.

Nice to meet you. Thank you for the advice.

I had one in my fowlr tank and I never saw it after the first day I put it into the tank. It swam around for 10mins then buried itself and never appeared again, didn't even find it when I took the tank apart a year later. Biggest waste of money ever that fish was lol

I had a angel in my tank witch I just couldn't catch and then I was told to wait until night time see we're it sleeps and catch it then and it worked,

I know it's difficult because wrasses use to sleep under the sand so that makes it tricky

This is unfortunately the reality you are faced with. Easiest and most effective way

Yip, agreed, not a nice fish o have in any tank, then again, so are all devil (wrasse) species

IME with a bit of persistence you can get almost any wrasse into a coke bottle trap. They think with their stomachs.
