well my tank has been running for almost a month now. the 1 thing ive seen is that the red algae has started to die off. i have been dosing seachem prime in my system so i will definitely say its because of it, as i know that the red algae starts when you have a nitrite/nitrate spike. my question is, is it a good product or is it just a waste of money? so far i dont have any complaints about it. but can it harm the rest of my system? i havent as yet had any die off of livestock. and my perimeters is looking awesome tbh. can someone that has used this product please tell me what they have experienced from it?

Are you dosing seachem prime or stability? Prime in my opinion is tap water treatment. for cycling your tank i would suggest stabiliy.

your tank is still very young so you shouldnt worry about some algae. A good bacterial additive such as stability, special blend, bio digest or zeobak will help the tank to cycle by establishing good bacteria

I thought I would hi jack this thread a little as it seemed a little broad

I wanted to know what guys dose there tanks with.
I originally started dosing my tank with the aquavitro range of product using ions, reef, ca and vibrance.
I have now added a calcium reactor , so removed the ca and now I have a spare dosing station, so wanted to utilize it.
    Any suggestions ?

Prime and stability a good combination. It is safe to use in saltwater aquaria, it binds up ammonia and chlorine. As an added and unexpected bonus, italso binds nitrite and nitrate into a less harmful substance. This was not an intended function of the product, but has been widely reported, enough so for it to be reported as fact.
Stability simply adds beneficial bacterial strains to go to work on the bound up ammonia & nitrate.

@DeanT i would recommend a amino acid suppliment, zeovits aahc or seachem reef plus or fuel, with fuel probably being the best choice, as it indirectly acts as a carbon source for bacteria.
