OK I need some "art" for the shop. Thus here goes...I would like all with kids to submit a drawing, painting of something marine related.

I will post the pics / scans & we all on MASA will vote for a winner. Dad (winner's) will receive some free Omega One foods for his tank, the winning aspirant reefer will receive a cash prize to the same value

BTW : Doesnt have to be your own kids , use the neighbors, friends etc LOL

Here is a random question, how does one go about remaining anonymous and then take honest ownership as the winner?

Would we than not rather e-mail the pics to you and you can then post them accordingly, that way, you have the entant's details however it remains completely anonymous to those on MASA.

Dont worry. Frans is flexible. For you he will swap the unwanted Food against 50 litre RO water. At least you have no excuse from now.
Or dont you use RO for top up?
    Get your kids going!

    cool, thanks.
I like this idea but at the same time I have had my hands full with my 8yr old banging out names of things she wants me to google so that she can have quality pics to sketch from - really - WTF??? Where did she learn the names of half the LS and fish, she was asking me for pics of wrasse - but specifics, then brain corals...

I don't have brain corals and havent spoken of it much, maybe in passing but never in any length for her to have learned from. Then a queen angel, I didn't even know there was such a type until she asked me...

But an educational experience I can have with the kids - thanks :3:

Don't joke like that LuckyFish, I was hasseling with something the othr day and she out of the blue rambled off some kak I didn't want to hear - 30min later still battling like a fool it dawned on me that she was right...

some things you shouldn't admit out of embarassment, but you know what, if I got an 8yr old learning so much about it now - imagine the knowledge she will posess in the future of reef systems.

I hope so. Kids feel if you are misrable. They also feel if you are passionate about something. Thats the best time to nag.
I hope that my kids are still interested in marines.
I dont have contact to them, because of my ex and I saw them the last time four years ago. Maybe they come down one day and take over daddy's hatchery.

ouch dude, that hurts - I feel the pain for you.
The circle is round and ultimately you will end up with a good hand...
MASA has a good circle going on, but like the lyrics say and work aptly - considering the speed of groth of MASA - - Make the circle bigga, make the circle bigga!!! LOL

After four years, I'm almost use to missing them.
BTW, that's a good song for all the members with the smaller tanks.

OK guys we are making it better, the comp will run for all MASA members & be devidided into Coastal & Inland Regions. A winner will be chosen from each region (Lanzo will do prizes for inland & myself for coastal).

There will then be a showdown between the two (alomst a Stormers / Bulls Final) with a grand prize :)

Are 6yr old Photoshop drawings accepted? No help from dad, I promise... ;) My daughter has become quite the boffin with my drawing tablet and her Photoshop skills are improving quite well.

But let us up the game a bit, cause why would my 6yr old want to win food for ME, what is there in it for her?

    So why not do this:

Once a winner is decided, Dorry gets in cotact with the dad. Then they draw up a list of possible fish / coral etc. that can be kept in his specific tank. Once the shortlist is done, let the kid decide what he/ she wants, and get them that. That then is their baby, to feed and care for.

Great idea this Frans BTW!!!!
