    Hi there ppl

    Finaly i got the wood for the doors on my tank.
    Before i post the pics of the doors here is some pics of the equiptment i used to get my wooden doors and panels as is today.

    Not myne. My father in laws. Wich i had my own. Its a great tool.

    What i great tool aswell. This is myne. Just need to get myself more tips for different shapes around the wood. But this one looks great for now.

    Now the start of the doors.

    Left over wood from a 610x2400
    [​IMG]
    Sollid Brass hinges R38 each
    Mild steal door handles R15 each

    I couldnt get solid brass door handles and i like the shape of these.

    Doors just cut out. 610x740

    It should look something like this when im done.
    The wood will just have a dark brown colour as you will see in the last pic.

    And there you have it.
    Now only for a varnish tomorow night then hopefully the doors will be fited before the weekend.

    I might still have a problem with the doors when there fited because i think it might not open that well because it might put against the frame.

    But i already have a plan.

    Hey mate! Are you using pine wood and are you going to drill your stand to screw the hinges into?

    Hi there

    Yes im useing pine wood. Ive just stained it. And im also farnishing the wood.

    No im not going to drill holes in the frame.
    The door will be fixed to the side panel of the tank.

    I see you are wearing your safety boots :tt2:

    You can get some of the fancy hindges from builders that will move the doors out alittle while opening them

    Looking Good so Far.

    nice! also wanted to route the edges of the doors I built, never got round to getting one though and so landed up with flat panes. good job! :thumbup:

    Atleast i had goggels over my eyes.

    Ja i never looked at builders. ag well, the hinges i have sould work.
