    I can relate to this. I prefer buying most of my stuff second hand (and I know you carry the risk) but if you do your homework you can get some decent stuff for half or less than half price. I have some bought new stuff but most is used.

    My system is almost completely secondhand. I bought the skimmer one maybe 2 of the MP40 new. Everything else is secondhand, even the tank, sump, and stand.

    Skimmer was at a humongous discount when Dorry Pets one night run a big discount special. Less 30% if I remember correctly. Whoop Whoop.
