    Hey guys,

Just wondering how many of you with a foxface in the tank has it eating hair algae?

Second thing is, does it make a meal out of corals?

thinking of getting one as a natural attempt to deal with hair algae, just dont want issues with it eating my LPS and Softies.

    Thanks guys

I have a bit of GHA problem and my foxface, Skinny-Pete (not so skinny anymore) does eat some of it.
He doesn't mow down the stuff. Trims it back constrantly.
Also nips my monti, hermits, seastars, finger, whatever it sees.

@RiaanP have a magnificent fox in his system. Not too fond of algae, will pick at it half-heartedly, but it enjoys a bit of nori.
Can not say that there is any evidence of him touching any corals of any kind

Tangs of the Acanthurus genus are better algal eaters. They will even eat Bryopsis shoots. I have found fox faces will always eat the "easy" food like nori and flakes, as these foods taste better.

I agree with that Carlos. My Foxface seems a bit on the lazy side when it comes to grazing. He follows my Whitecheek Surgeon around the tank watching him do his thing... I was hoping he would learn a thing or two.. but hes just lazy

Thanks bud. Will do. I will need to find a new home for my hawkfish before i do that though. Hawkfish and blennies/gobies dont go :(.

The last time i got one from the coast i gave it to another member because my hawkfish made him jump out. Didnt give him a break.
