I was thinking of getting 1x20watt Led Flood light and 2x10watt Led Flood lights.
    My tank is 1.2x600x600

Has anyone tried this? feel free to post your views!!

yes they will work, but you will need to supplement with actinic or blue light as the water will look very yellow

they wont be for corals, you will still need blue light supplementation.

rather get lights made for reefs

there are some great units at Reef Aquatics , @Andre@ReefAquatics

traditional spot lights are 6500k great for coral growth but not coral colour.

this is why we recommend adding blue t5's to aid in coral colouration.

The led spotlights can be ordered in at 16/20k or blue. Local suppliers dont stock them that often but they can order them in. The box lists all of the availavle options.

I wouldn't recommend them. I used one on a fuge and the result was weird, shrooms and macro algae grew but everything seemed very thin and weak. I think they would work for a fowlr tank but not with corals.

I came to the conclusion that you get what you pay for. I'm more than happy with my Reef Aquatics unit :)
