    Hi Guys,
Just wanted to know your idea about my tank, Do i have too much flow in the tank?:confused1:
There are 2 wave makers behind liverocks on both the sides,
On the left top i've got 2 stock power heads, and on the right top i have another power head,

What makes you think you have too much or to little?

Just not sure what is the acceptable flow for my tank.
I tried to have a flow in every corner of the tank,
I've seen similar tanks with more or less same amount of stock running on one power head only, thought maybe i've got too much flow,
P.S the tank is nothing like you see in the picture now:biggrin:
All the corals are dead, Think its because of nitrate and Alk problem i'm having.

With softies you do not need alot of flow, I have seen these RSM130 run perfectly, stock std, for Softies and LPS

So is it a bad thing to have high flow?

    not bad, maybe unnessesary.

Ideally you dont want any dead spots where the detritus can collect, try experiment with less flow in diffrent posssions. See if it creates a dead spot or not. It will depend largely on your aquascaping.
i have seen LPS and softies keep in water turn over from 10x to 50x the water volume per hour

I used to have only the 2powerheads behind the rocks, and every 2-3 days some parts of the sands used to turn black!
I think it was because of my nitrate level too.

Im realitivly new to marine aquariums but 1 thing i do know is, your nitrates, nitrites, amonia and phospates should all be either at 0 or as close as possible to that.

So i dont think you can have too low nitrates, that would be a good thing.
    Just my 2cents worth.
