Often gets debated whether a clownfish purposefully feeds its anemone or if it thinks it's simply storing food for it too eat later.
This pic should help make up your mind as too what the clownfish is doing.

Powder blue wasn't looking well this morning and was a bit more lethargic than normal. Maroon clown seized the opportunity and did the following...

My Clarkii clowns hosted at some point in a big sinularia. And it will grab a big piece of nori for example and try to feed the sinularia. Push it in and let it go. Other fish do not easily enter the sinularia and they had to wait until the current blew it out. So yes, clowns do feed anemones.

Years ago when my brother still had his setup. He bought 2 new cleaner shrimps. And as he released them, the maroon clown grabed the one while it was still swimming down and pushed it into the anemone. So yes, that maroon did fed the anemone a healthy shrimp. Expensive dinner.

Maybe not for you but I find that to be incredible I always believed the clown and nennie were symbiotic, so I do think they feed them in exchange for protection but going as far as dragging a whole fish into the nennie never really heard of that. I think the fact that its a big aggro maroon clown also helps but still.

 Yup, saw my tomato clown feed my nennie.
Infact, He did it so well, I didn't have to feed my nennie that much.

So what must he do bury it? Dude if it died after that it can become food for the nenny. Is that too harsh?

If the maroon has done it with the PB would it do the same with your other fish?

I know what you mean, but cutting it up :(

Also, fish that die from unknown causes could have a disease, bacteria etc.
