Mentioned awhile ago that I had found a plan for a scrubber so now I will wait for a bit to see if it works as planned. As you can see I ditched the lid and things have started to grow like mad. I am trying the scrubber to cut down on the use of chemical de-nitrate products and cut costs. Thanks to Johannes @ NAAC for help with pendant lighting and materials for the scrubber[IMG]

Standard scrubber , pump it out and flow it over a seeding mesh on roughed up perspex, gravity drain out. small lighting tube to enable gunk to grow

    Great stuff.
I've being toying with the idea of building a nano sized cube using only scrubbers as the main filtration medium. Would have to plumb it in into the stand somehow and take things from there.

After 4 days I opened it up and behold it's started working. The only thing that i'm not happy with is the bowing out of the perspex across the top at the width so some bracing will be required. I can already see a visible difference in the growth of algae on the glass during the day.[IMG]
