Okay so recently I have been having some heating issues in my tank, I initially looked at the stc1000 which is obviously a nice piece of tech but I wanted something with more control and obviously something that looks a little better.

    So here it is
Temp controller meant for a pc actually works on 12 volts, whats nice here is it has 3 outputs to the fans each with its own probe as well namely CPU, SYS & HDD. Each fan can also be individually controlled ect

Connected to it are 3x 80mm 12v Fans

CPU i am running to my Sump
HDD will run to my DT
SYS will run to the hood

Just did some quick connect tonight as i received it today just to test and make sure everything is running, will do a final clean-up and installation this weekend

I used a extra xbox360 power supply i have laying around

Plan is to recess the panel into my hood

Some pics thus far, will upload as i go along

Much cheaper then you might think

Controller was around R150 fans like R40 each, I ended up dummy fitting it last night and cut out 10 of the 12 LED's to get that moonlight effect

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this only does cooling.
The STC1000 dies heating ang cool.
Love the idea just wish it would do the heating side aswell.
The temp warming alarm is a cool feature.

Another Q what do you use for the temp probe.

I personally have heat issues hence I only wanted to find a solution for my cooling, i find my 2x heaters in the sump to be quite accurate

You are correct when saying this is for cooling only

    It has 3 wired probes

Are there probes OK in the salt water.
Sorry if The Q seems odd, my thinking is those probes are just surface mount being a pc temp Regulator

I would think out the box no, but I have probes from my other digital thermometers which I am gonna use on the sump and dt, my hood probe will remain standard as my tank is closed
