DIY nano

    Hi

    I am thinking of setting up a small 60cm tank but jst for a nennie and a clown maybe a blenny and a few inverts. it must be simple and cost effective. Any ideas

    plenty ideas, i will pen some down
    do you want a sump or filters in the back?
    do you have a stand, or going to make one?

    Whats your filtration and also what maintanance involved, water changes etc

    I have ceramic rings at back NOW, but the one on that thread had DSB in. I also have cheato on top, and do a 50% water change per week (which is only like 15litres...)

    I also dose Special Blend bacteria. That is it...

    Are you serious so its not much of a deal to build a nano hey. what livestock is in the tank.

    I would not say that. The issue with nano's is that it is low water volume, so when it goes wrong it does so VERY quick.

    The main thing to remember is to have a good stable system, and make sure your salinity is in check, your PH stable and you get rid of your nutrient build up fast, hence the 50% water change...

    I have kept anything in my little 30litre system for birdsnes SPS, zoa's, mushrooms, LPS etc. I now have zoa's, xenia and mushrooms in.

    Fishwise can really be any smaller fish, dependant on the size.
