Got any info on PAR/lumens/etc from that LED?
Id be VERY sceptical ... the aquarium pic they use contains fake corals.

I saw this led on @Goby 's tank myself and the color temp. with this led was at the range of 20 000k, cool white with a lot of blue. Definately not close to warm white. And I can also confirm that sps's grew under these leds with great polyps extension.

Using it in my sump now and its still going strong.
    No heat problem.
It probably depends of the size heatsink you use.
Mine is a normal Intel 478socket heatsink and fan.

Then im useing a normal external hard drive power supply to power the fan.

I dont know that led but i think 3 of these will be great.
You might ever get away with two of these.

Ive got one in my sump.
1.1m x 725 and if i it lights it up nicely. Two will be great then it will even overlap in the middle.
My led is about 300mm away from the water.

Ok so what i wanna know is , on a Boyo TL550 should a person wish to change the T5 globes into led and still keep your lid (closed as is) what would be needed to keep lps and sps mainly? But it must fit into the hood of the boyo as i dont want to start cutting on my lids.

hey zandy. You can do a DIY project but a lot of guys buy the premade unit for the boyu. I think I've seen these before on rapidled site. Check on the forum as I've seen guys that have done the mods on their tanks
