Good day.
I have a DIY LED unit for sale. This unit is quite a monster.
8 Channel dim able LED Unit. One channel a moonlight (blue) channel.
Do not ask me the precise color spread, I am not sure - but it is good quality all imported LED's from steves led.
15 clusters. 1.2 meter x 0.600 unit. Designed to be suspended.

Powered fan with a 400w (steves powersupply) and I will throw in a 350w Meanwell powersupply with it (not used)

DECLARATION: There is currently an issue with the unit. I suspect one of the drivers (Steves) may have given in. there is flickering on the unit. This is the reason I am selling - this unit was designed and build by another reefer on the forum (Francois) and I do not have the time to tinker with it.

Also note, the unit would either need to work with a unit such as the reef angel with dimming expansion or similar, or you need to "bridge" the connection with dimming knobs to have it on a specific strength (on/off).
(This is my understanding of the unit)

Even considering the above, I am of the opinion this is a great bargain and a monster unit (LED's is +-420w in total) for someone with a little bit of knowledge and willingness to tinker. understand that the sale is "voetstoots" though. Note the unit is well build, perspex and designed to be able to open up easily (6 screws)

The unit is really in good condition, at worst you may have to replace one driver - and the price is negotiable.
Look at Francois tank of the month - if I am not mistaken it was this unit hanging over his tank when he got the TOTM award?

I have decided on the ATI T5 sun power modules simply because its easier and less hassles.

Description of the LEDs at that time:
"On lighting I went for a DIY 400 watt LED unit, all Luxeon 3w LEDs with Steve’s digital LED drivers and a 400 watt power supply. The led unit is controlled via my Reef Angel’s PWM controller and does a nice slope up and down dimming. The LED unit consists of the following colour LEDS,

12 x Cool Whites
22 x Neutral Whites
39 x Royal Blues
11 x Deep Reds
11 x Cyans
11 x Cool blues
22 x True Violets"

Since then we have added 4 more clusters - moonlight and some other stuff.
