i made this simply by gettn a food grade container ,drilled a 32mm outlet, also serves as a hang mechanisn as my tanks sumpless, and added a tiny boyu pump to keep kalk stired up.i then drilled my atu pipe into the reactor and everytime it tops up,it flows into the stirer and overflows with rich kalk water into tank.... my topups are regular but very minimal so no way it can overdose kalk.... i cant reveal everything but its failsafe tested:tt2:

Any deposit buildup issues in the pump?

    thanks buddy

i had same setup just way bigger on my 2m tank and didnt have problems but i guess only time will tell, other than that its an inexpensive pump and easy to maintain or replace if need be;)

    no prob dude

yes as it keeps the solution concentrated ,most guys let it settle and use only the clear water but i get better results this way:p and it cnt harm tank as doses are minimal per atu top up

Schweet! Can you adjust the amount that it tops up?

No, you will then get settlement on top of corals etc. And the PH swing is too much.

You want the saturated clear water only to enter the tank.

Put the little pump inside on the same circuit than the ATU pump.

 ...that's exactly why its exit pipe is right above the overflow compartment,so has 2 pass thru many layers of filters and medias 3 chambers before return....so no dust ;)

I was contemplating doing that but then, I got speach upon speech saying that if anything gets stuck ie. Float switch and u over dose,u then chuck ur entire atu supply in,specially by me,I have a 45litre ato. So by making the reactor, its only 500ml of concentrated kalk, which if all added still cnt harm tank ;)....so cool idea, just be sure to check ur top up switch regularly:whistling:

I'm gettn a 2nd float switch slightly higher than top ups one that is wired in reverse, so If it goes over and activates 2nd float it will cut out system....... If both fails, which I doubt, I'm screwed

On the other part,if float fails it only chucks in 500ml of kalk, instead of my entire 45litre top up ro reserve, thanks actually for making me aware of something I didn take into account, so will setup 2nd float asap
