Works like a charm, used it to catch a chromis without removing all the rocks. Simply place in the tank and chase/corner the fish into it. Because its clear, the fish swim inside it without a fuss..

All you need is an empty plastic 2L coke container and a pair of scissors..

Cut off the top of the container like so, cut the cap off as well(big enough for the fish to swim through)

Resize the bottom half if necessary

Invert the top and fit it into the bottom..

The idea is that the fish is able to swim in, but can't get out.. I did't include dimensions as its not important, just estimate based on where you gonna place the trap..

i tied a piece of fishing line on mine to bring it out ASAP to avoid distress... also thought about putting holes in the bottom or sides so that the food smell would waft around more...

I guess you probably leave it in the tank for a while and wait for the fish to eventually get trapped..

I place the trap between my rock structures and chase the fish i wanna trap into it, so no need for fish food..
