    Hi Guys

do you think this will work. i want to build an additional sump like system that will have a DBS, Refugium and a draw with liverock in.
I’m going to use those plastic storage draws you get at most retailers.
i will turn one draw upside down and install a light in for the rfugium.
the last draw will have a pump or maybe some one will have an idea on how i can return the water to my sump without a pump

yip something similar. Just each one will have an overflow pipe connecting each draw and the last draw will pump the water back to the sump

I would adjust this slightly and add a settlement chamber before the DSB

I see a small problem with this. if you use the cheap draws they sell at Jet stores etc. you should remember that they are not very strong and probably would eventually buckle under the weight of the water inside.. I can estimate that each draw will wait about 50kg and from your drawing I estimate you'll have at least 200 killos of water. way too heavy. also how are you gonna open the draws to clean with the water inside .. as soon as you open the draw more than half way the center of weight will shift to the outside and you gonna have 50 liters of water on your carpet. or maybe I'm wrong but it just seems that way

Plus the drawer sides are not 100% vertical. The plumbing will not be that easy to fit. Needs extra set of elbows. Plus all those bulkheads at the end of the day will cost a lot.

That is why others who do use these drawers make a drip system from them. No plumbing, simple, lightweight and effective.
