Hi All

I am going to be doing a three part dosing for Ca, Mg and Alk.

I have been considering the Red Sea range that I would supplement with their colors additives.

I have heard of people going the DIY route and if some money can be saved and it does the job I am keen to learn a bit more, I’ve had a look in this segment and can’t find any info, I am hoping someone who is doing DIY dosi Nd would be able to guide me?

Also interested to know peoples opinion on DIY vs premixed vs dry premix?

I’m doing exactly what you are planning at the moment. Dosing DIY Ca, Mg and Alk with Redsea ABCD for Elements.

Ca- Calcium Chloride
Mg- Magnesium Chloride & Magnesium Sulphate
Alk- Sodium Bicarb

Bought all the Chemicals from Protea Chemicals but as of late they are useless! Never have Stock. Will give Warrenchem a Go as @hotdog83 mentioned.

It’s Def a cheaper route to go.

Warrenchem was bought out. No more walk in COD customers. Only registered chemical companies can buy raw materials now

These guys I bough CaCl, MgSO4, MgCl andsoduim bicarb from in smaller quantities. As little as 250g.

Also great tutorial post on MASA below:

The link to the chemistry calculator there doesn't, work as it's been relocated here:
