Dirty Araganite

Hey guys

I have Caribsea Special Floor Grade aragonite that has been roughly in a container for a year...

There was water in it and it smelled like toilet water...

also the aragonite is not very white anymore after I gave it a good wash..

What can I use to make it white again??

Would say bleach, but it would be easier to get new aragonite.

Its a mission and a half to wash it off properly, but it would make it whiter.

can try soak it in vinigar also

soak in unscented bleach, careful with this, then soak in RO with seachem safe for a day or 2, also add an airstone as that will help remove the chlorine

you can also use hydrogen peroxide(100%), but you must be very very carfull and wear latex gloves, the rinse in ro water

Would it not be best to bleach it and the leave in RO with lots of prime for a day or two than using peroxide?
Peroxide has its advantages but if not handeled correctly will burn the individual using it. To risky for me.
