Dimmer wiring

    Ok I have these I want to use on my lights but have no idea how to wire them any help please

    i suggest googling the make and model. Im sure u will find a wiring diagram of instructions

    1. 220 neutral
    2. 220 live
    3. Normally closed contact
    4. switching contact
    5. Normally open contact.

    1+2 is the 220v power into the timer.

    4 is the switched power into the relay. 220 either live or neutral.

    3 will have power when the timer is OFF
    5 will have power when the timer is ON

    NOTE the power flows from 4 to 3 or 5. So to switch you lights you connect power to 1&2, Then you connect neutral directly to the neutral of the light fitting. Then connect live to 4 and from 5 to the live of the light unit.

    But pretty sure that's not a dimmer. It's a timer.

    Dims them right off at a specific time ?? ;)

    Yup thats a timer and will be very effective at dimming the lights into total darkness

    Correct, timer not a dimmer.
