How do these fair to other sand sifters as ive heard these tend to make heaps as apposed to the other that releases substrate in the water coloumn and over coral as ive also been thinking of getting one but unsure as to wich one.

I think they are the best off them all. They pick up and stand still when cleaning.Wont cover the corals I had 2 off them in the last 6 years. Both jumped out my new tank have bracing do he wont be able to jump out

    Hi all.

i'm looking for a sand sifting goby pair. i dont know how rare or common this is, but if possible, i would like a pair. i've only had the Sleeper Blue Dot Goby (Valenciennea sexguttata) and i know they're really good sand sifters, a little too over eager at times :) but i heard the Diamond Watchman Goby (Valenciennea puellaris) is also a good option.

if perchance, i can get 2, but they arent a pair, will they be fine in a 1.5 m tank? approx dt liter capacity, around 750l. They wont fight for territory? The goby we had in our 130d sifted the whole tank so i dont how big their territory can get.

i'm in randburg, jhb, so if if anyone has some, please let me know, if you can pair them up, even better :)

    thanks in advance.

I have one. Eats from the water column, generally sifts while hovering close to the bottom but sometimes drops substrate on my lower corals. Made a huge pile in my back right corner and shares his cave with my firefish. Very happy I got him.
