    Detailed help request
Are you experiencing any problems in your tank?
    Yes
    Brief Description
    Hi
I just bought quite a bit of corals from another hobbyist. These corals consists of (Zoa's, Leathers, Clams, Monti's, Acro's, Hammer's, Torch, and a few other LPS and SPS I don't know. These corals are currently under only 4x fluorescents in the main tank, and only 2x in the other tank. (I actually can't believe that they have stayed alive !) The tank that I'm moving them to has 3x 150 watt metal halides. How would I acclimatise them to the brighter light without having them bleaching or browning ? I won't be able to put them all on the bottom because there is no space.

Don't run all the lights at once and then run for a short period of time each day.
Slowly increase this over a few days/weeks until they used to the light.

    Lights

    Thanks 459 !

    I'm currently running the 20 000K MH from 09h30 - 20h00 and the other two 10 000k MH's from 10h30 - 19h30 (They are connected together on a timer). How should I balance these times out ?

    THANKS !

You could also add some shadecloth on top uf the tank if the halides are not close enough to burn it. Add say 2-3 layers or enough to filter out the amount of light you want, and then remove a layer per week.
