ok so i havent been on for a long time due to work and family constraints not to mention my PC at home is fried and the other dude in the office at work got bust for porn AGAIN!!!!:yeahdude: so internet acess is a little scarce for me right now:(

i am trying to decide if i must go smaller with my tank or if i should just restart my old one, personally i am looking to go a bit smaller but wider as my flat is just too small for the 5ft not to mention that the 700 depth kills me when i try to work in it...

i was thinking along the lines of a 1.200 x .700 x .600. this will provide me with better acessablility and area to place my corals. i dont want to go overboard but rather just set up something that the whole family can enjoy... i will probably focuss on softies and LPS with the occasional clam and perhaps the odd monti or so... fish will be minimal comprising of a tang or so with a angel and a pair of clowns and grammas.

any advice would be appreciated..
i am just keen to get my tank gioing again.

hey Les,glad to see the bug hasnt left you :)
this sounds great 1.200 x .700 x .600.

cool dudes shot for the replys so far, also good to be back in the process of getting a laptop so when it happens you will see more of me!!!

Welcome back, do you still have all your equipment?

thanks for the warm welcome....... i feel like a superstar!!! yes i do still have all my equipment but i still need to finalise all the gadgets for my denitrator (i know not necessary but i want) and calcuim reactor. i also want to renew the needle wheel pump on my skimmer Aquamedic 5000 baby with a OR3500 needle wheel. and purchase another OR6500 for my closed loop to flush detritus out from beneath the rockwork.

so there is still alot of work to be done!!!

I always enjoy working on my setup, even cleaning the glass. So have a good one and make it your worthwhile.:wave2:

i just miss the clarity of the water a fulfilment of seeing my LPS after a water change and the colour and interaction of every small organism from gammy to fish.... i have had a tank for most of my life starting when i was 6 untill about a year and a half ago when i had a mishap which killed everything (my fault) i just want to try get a part of what made me so happy back....

Good luck and welcome back.

I guess the angel will be a Flame dwarf ;)

agree but looking for something a little bigger.... the planning has started now just to see if i can part with some of my equip to fund the project...

Hi Les, welcome , long time no hear. Hows graft going??? You happy???

Have to agree with Hennie, go smaller- with the price of everything nowadays as well as our Loadshedding- definately not worth the effort in going big... As you'll know- less maintenance too as well as waterchange...;)
