Hey People here is my mini update.. Having problems with the xenia and polyps tho.
I changed salt from seachem to sera maybe thats the problem?
    Stats of tank
    Phosphate 0.01
Nitrate 0 - this also might be the problem.
It cant be flow as i have repositioned the stone and its only these two corals affected?

Note I'm using Red Sea NOPOx for nitrate and phosphate control. Reducing dosage from today.

Xenia is a funny coral, it will either flourish or melt away into nothing, some say it's highly dependent on the tank's ph, I don't know, all I know is it's one of those corals that seems to either do well or not at all.

    Yip, funny stuff.

Yup, I've been told that as well, they apparently prefer water with a few nutrients in it, probably because they are filter feeders. I've given up trying to keep Xenia, I've never been able to.

Just a random bit of information that i have noticed with the Xenia in my tank. I have several Xenia colonies and when i wasn't doing any no pox to control my nutrients my Xenia flourished. I then wanted to see if no pox was gonna help me with the algae growing on the glass after 2 or 3 weeks i found my Xenia colonies looked as if all the tips were getting burned did a bit of research on the Xenia coral and found that they thrive more in tanks that are not even running a skimmer so i decided to stop with the carbon dosing and now i have almost 15 small colonies of Xenia so i think the no pox could be affecting them

Hi Ozzie, i wanted a tank where i didnt have to worry about temps rising to high in summer..
Sump is small it houses a skims 161, live rock compartment and a compartment for filtering.. Im using red sea nopox and have no algae at all and all inverts including sand star are happy.. As for the lights running 4 blue t5s and 3 x 150w mh 10k
