David's reef tank

    Hello to everyone.
    My tank is 1.5m × 0.5m × 0.6m. It is a boyu fresh water that I converted into a marine tank.

    Overflow is 500mm long.
    2×40mm return pipes , 1 is emergency the other controlled by a ball valve.

    Stand was made from 50×25 rectangular tubbing then galvanisid. Panelled with 16mm superwood sprayed black.screws and hinges stainless steel.

    Lighting im using a razer 300w.
    Skimmer is a Reeftek super cone 200.
    Remote DSB with a refugem on top.

    Hi everyone.
    So i have not posted in a while due to an out break of some type of bacteria. Been trying to beat it for since December.

    So every time i test for NO3 & PO4 i get 0 reading. There is no algae in tank at all so i assume my readings are right. Perhaps there ir no PO4 avaliable so the good bacteria can't consume NO3 and that is why this nuisance bacteria has taken over.
    I have removed my RDSB and bought nitra gaurd titanium.

    Any suggestions pls post.

    looks like dinoflagellates, don't know much about them other than what they look like. sorry to hear.
