    I was doing some tank maintenance today, and saw that I was a grandpa today. My Goniopora has given off a daughter colony.

    Depends, I think @tekengal is the expert here, me just luck I suppose. Goniopora can be temperamental, I had two, gave one to @tekengal as it looked unhappy.

    lol, thanks! Wouldn't say expert, more like well read :biggrin:
    I'm still struggling to get yours to fully extend, it opens up at night for its feedings but doesn't extend fully...=/

    They really are tempremental LPS coral. Need to be fed regularly, have good water conditions (sea water is the best for them) and lighting. And if you do buy one (although I would advise against it), get one that is healthy, not a stokesi (green) or pendulus (green - blue), and still extends fully.
