Darn it. Got up this morning and the airline to the skimmer had come off. The whole tank was flooded with microbubbles. Came home this evening, and the clam was dead. Testing water now. Could the bubbles have killed the clam?

Ok, water was fine sat, but tonight... not so good. Not sure if having a dead clam in there caused it, or it caused the death. Had just put in all new filter media a week ago, in the canister filter. Don't know how the water could have gone so bad, so fast.

Just changed all the floss and rinsed the media.
    Did 20% water change.

Ammonia was 0, but Nitrate was 20 and nitrite was 1.0

Not sure if the skimmer not running all night caused that, or the death of the clam...
Skimming wet now, to try to pull out anything else in there. Any other suggestions?
