    Hey guys

Is it safe to feed fresh water Daphnia to marines?

I discovered some live Daphnia in my Lily ponds and wonder if my mandarin might enjoy them,

Not sure how long they will survive if at all in the salt water, but I suppose as long as they swing for a little while they should get eaten?

As far as I know it's safe but hardly nutritious so there's not much point...

    I see. Thanks.

I added a little bit yesterday and they were all gone in a few seconds. The mandarin also ate a few :)

They are live food. So marine fish (non-herbivores) would LOVE them. As Rory said - not that they are really nutritious. BUT awesome for a "treat".

Yes I would imagine it would be nice as a bit of variety but certainly not as staple.
