Hi Everyone.

Google gave me nothing, I'm not sure if its one specific snail only or different ones I see doing this. Its a Turbo snail I'm talking about by the way.

I saw it last night and just now very quickly rotating its shell from left to right I would say about six times!? It looks like its in distress but then carries on snailing along?

Has anyone else observed this kind of behavior and why is it doing that?

Thanks for any info on this.

Jaco.

might be spawning.
Was there a faint white cloud released?

Hi Riaan.

No not at all, it was just all of a sudden twisting its shell from left to right VERY quickly, maybe left to right to left again in one second for about 2 to 3 seconds in total, very strange to see. Like someone grabbed tip of its shell from the top and were rubbing the thumb and index finger together back and forth, if that makes sense?

I've seen that many times. Especially with freshwater snails. Might be an irritation in the shell.
