damsel with swollen eye

    hi all i have a yellow tail damsel with a swollen eye.i bought it from a petshop and placed it in the DT and after a week it just had a swollen eye overnight it keeps getting bigger. I have never seen anything like this can anybody please help? will post pic soon:)

    Most likely bumped/scraped its eye on something. Keep a close watch on the fish, the eye should go down on its own.

    it will go down eventually. Most cases its temporary.

    Else if you are up to it, you can stick a very fine needle in there and suck the excess fluid out.

    I was also thinking to stick a needle in for it to drain? have guys done it before?

    PaulB done it, but I'm not sure how you will manage to hold still such a small fish.

    Dont attempt to drain it yourself, you run the risk of permanently damaging the fishes eye if you do it incorrectly.
