May be a daft question but with a pending tank move on the horizon I need to get my ducks in a row. If I move the live rock and aragonite across and take as much water out of my current tank, will still need to cycle in the tank or will it be safe to move the live stock across.

for a tank move. the only issue is temperature drop between different type of containers to move everything. Other than that, keeping rock under water then you should not have a new cycle.

Thanks @RiaanP, I thought as much. The plan is to fill the new tank with either NSW (If the water is good) or synthetic. The day before I want to take water from the New tank and put it in the old and vice versa. I want the levels in the two tanks to be as close as possible.

Get a good bacteria to help things along after the move, Special Blend is excellent for this application.
