cycling a tank

    Do I need to cycle my tank before adding liverock?

    nope. you need to add your live rock so that the cycle can start. all the dead bacteria on the rock will cause the start of the cycle. to help it on you can add some special blend. it is bacteria to help seed the rock and get the process on the way

    The liverock forms part of the cycling process and as @the fish stated will kick start the cycle. Perhaps go read some of the sticky notes on what to expect. That will tell you what to check and when to know when the cycle process is completed. Please do not add any livestock until the tank is cycled.Good luck on your journey:thumbup:
