    that "severe cyano outbreaks" is giving me a bit of a problem - you don't allow for "non severe" outbreaks :whistling:

    I thus ticked options 1, 2 and 7, as I've used NSW and synthetic salts, and have had MILD cyano outbreaks with all of them.

    Agree with Hennie, I had a severe cyano outbreak when I added more LIGHTS, never had an issue with salt. In fact, I am on a regime right now to change salt brands at almost every water change with no cyano. Have used 3 brands in the last few months, and I filled my 6ft with 3 different brands!

    I have the odd smaller patch of cyano, and again I think its coz my lights are getting old, not the salt brand

    My tank is bout 3 1/2 months old and I have a hugh phosphate issue... Cyno seems to love this stuff :(
