There are a few ways - but getting rid of nutrients and increasing flow is the main ones -
You can also leave lights out for a few days aswell . I am goin through a nutrient issue aswell and I have cyno right below my vortech so its definately not a lack of flow!

There is nothing that eats it as far as I know. Where is the cyano growing? If on rocks try and blow them out with a turkey baster as I think you have detritus that settled in it. Remove the crap that it is feeding on and it will go away.

    Ahh thanks Duren...
I think I might have a flow problem then, I'm not 100% sure if its cyano, but its red and not coraline, so it must be cyano, darn...

    Hi Mariusmeyer,

Thanks alot guy I was planning on getting more flow and this pushes me even more to get of my butt and get some flow going

Just remember that just adding flow will not get rid of it. You need to blow the rocks out and then add the stronger flow to prevent detritus from settling.
