    Hi ppl.
Cw is back with a new tank.
Ive finaly got the guts to start a dream tank. so now im doing it.

Already got the skimmer a while back and got the material for the stand this weekend. so on saterday i started with the stand.
Like with every build i was so exited to start i never decided to mesure the dore frames and dident think about where this stand will be taken into the room.

    Big oops.

So i started building. luckely i only done the top and the legs of the stand. i still need to do the bottom an some more here and there
So when we visited my perentals today my brother in law asked me a reasonable question.
"Have you mesured the with of the dore frame where you taking in the tank?"

    So ja oops.

So he helped me to figure out today were we will take the stand in.
Luckely i havent finished with the stand.
So that just proved to me that im learnig new things about marines every day. and how to use a mesuring tape. haha

So ja. lets get you ppl updated about sizes. firstly the stand will be 1700 x 800 (w) x 800 (h).
The tank im not sure about hight yet. still have some time to decide.
Ok im having some problems uploading pics.
i think its time to try and sleep cos 3:26 is kind of late. or early. hehe.

Ill post pics later today ppl.

    Cya

    Nice size!

Can you not get the stand/ tank in if you temporarily remove the door? Or is the door frame 750 wide?

    Goodluck with the build :)

Any ideas on what you plan to use for filtration?

    Hi NickW.

Thanx man, the door frames by my is 780 the biggest.
But if i turn the stand on its one side and take off the front door then it fits just just.
Ag well worst case ill have to take it through the living room window.
Its broken anyway so ill have to replace it some time. hehe

Ohja, got myself a Hager Full water proof DB with 13 breakers and 3 timers for only R400.

    Whoop Whoop

I just chucked the junk from my 2 x TS2 skimmers into the water and looked what hapened.
There was maybe 10-15mm junk in each TS2 cup.
The bucket ive got the Reef Octo in is 50L

    41594fded007e40ed.jpg
And this happens in i think 2min max.
Oh ja i had to switch it off cos the crap was starting to go over the sides of the 50L holder. hehe:thumbup:

Cant wait to see this beast in action in my new tank.
Wanted to use it in my current 1.2m setup but the sump is to small.

Looks good CW. I made the doorframe mistake, and had to break the frame open.

    My new equipment

    Went to the AquariumExpo2012

And got myself some new stuff for the new tank.
Ohja and im gone use a 50mm for the drain in the new tank.
Dont want anything to get stuck in there.
    41594fded1e8ebeb9.jpg
Ohja and Nathan from TSR gave me a great deal on this stuff.
    41594fded1e8e7480.jpg
2 x Hydor Korilia 5200L/H powerheads, with magnets, suction cups and anti vibration.
    41594fded1e8e2a5c.jpg
    2x Hydor 300w Heaters.
I can clearly see in my one tank that its working better than the old heaters.

    Thanx AndrevN and Shaunn.

No its only 50mm x 50mm x 5mm flat bar for the legs.
No adjustment for leveling. I also sent some extra loos peaces of flat bar for powder coating. That will be used for leveling if i need to.
    But i dont think so.
