70x70x70cm cube, approxiamtely 300litres water volume.

20kg Caribsea base rock and 6kg live rock

Most of the structure was assembled in pieces using cable ties and Pratleys - outside the tank so I could get the structure I wanted - some of the rocks are loose though. Don't rely on cable ties cause if they break your rock work becomes quite unstable (ask me I know)

I did have an idea of what corals I wanted mostly so tried to make the structure suit them.

Disadvantage is when buying a new coral which comes on a piece of rock it is difficult to place it in the structure - so I prefer getting frags where I can and let them grow out in the position I want them.

If the rocks are heavy I'd use PVC pipe/acrylic rods - drill holes in the rock and use the rods to support it. If the rocks are not that heavy Pratleys and cable ties work fine. In my pic above the piece sticking out on the right is made of 3 small pieces of live rock held together with cable ties. The branchy piece on the left is held together with Pratleys. (also made up of 3 pieces of live rock)
