Can someone please ID this. Its extremely flat bodied and nocturnal, disappearing into live rock when the lights are switched on..

I first spotted it a few months ago, yesterday at lights out, i saw one of my NASA snails struggling. Closer inspection revealed this creature wrapped around it!!

Is it a parasite? Any danger to fish?

So many species of them out there. Dont think it would be a problem with fish. They usually scavengers.
Hows your snail? Not sure which would eat which or if they were fighting over food.

The snail eventually died! I saw the flat worm wrapped around it. The snail struggled for a long time trying to shake it off. I switched on the lights and directed the flow pump at the 2. The flat worm disappeared but it was too late i guess..

You do get quite a few mollusc-eating flatworms. There is a really pretty species we sometimes get in the rockpools here that is a snail eater.
