thanks Carlos. this was a part that we fragged of a much bigger piece witch had about four such branches where both heads were alive, but since i was getting it for free i had to take the one with the dead head but i'm happy never the less... do you know how long do they take to grow or multiply or do they even grow more heads in the aquarium

They grow quickly under the right conditions. Just don't let it get anywhere near other corals, they've got a very strong sting.

Yup, Euphylia glabrescens, fast grower in a stable system. Keep him away from other corals (They're very aggressive, and their sweeper tentacles are quite long when fully extended), and in an area with average flow.

the more i read about it the more excited i get. it looks like a fun coral to keep and as long as the water is clean it should be very easy to look after as it requires almost no manual feeding if there is enough light... mine also has this green glow under the moon lights which looks awesome. i cant wait for it to start growing and multiplying so i can give some to my friends

Yeah all of the Euphyllia species are very nice. I've got a branching frogspawn that started as one polyp, now it's 3 colonies all about 20cm across (and I've traded out quite a few frags).

im keeping mine in a 10 gallon nano cube where im planing to have only LPS corals few snails a shrimp and two clowns i want it to be more of a reef tank rather than fish tank and i hope that i can be able to give some of it to my friends if it reproduces quick enough...

how long did it take for yours to start branching weeks, months, years? my water quality is very good with no ammonia or nitrates and ive planted the torch in the sand bed as far away from the t5 lights as possible
