    I find alot of pics of him on google when I search hitchhiker crab.

    But no definite answer as to what it really is. I might have another one in the sump too.

    Don't know what to do with it

    Are hitch hiker crabs ever a good thing in a reef tank

    Sure, when they are emerald crabs or arrow crabs or dead crabs.

    I had a hotch hiker crab that cutted my yellow longnose butterfly nose of and the fish died,I took n chisel and hammer to the rock,let's just say the crab became mash

    I'm not willing to risk it though.

    I don't know what to do with it coz I'm gonna use my sump as refuge for growing pods. So can't have any hitchhikers in there as well

    I will be having live rock in the sump which will be placed in DT every now and then. So the crab would find its way back to the display with the rocks

    Flush the guy down the toilet. I have a rather large crab in my DT must have got in there via my LR. Lost two fire fish and one yellow watchman goby. Struggling to catch the guy without killing him. I am slowly running out of patience.

    It looks like an algae eater from its claws...but even that is not a guarantee I guess.

    I would take my chances with it and keep an eye on it...but that is just me.
