I would be inclined to say they are ok, the small hairy ones are the polyp eaters, keep them alive until you can get a proper ID on them. I've only ever had the white ones. If they are proper acro crabs then they are beneficial to the coral. Are there any damaged/white area's on the corals that these came out of?

No it's not a fiddler crab...they BIG and don't look the same. Those are acro crabs as Ruan said...have had a few myself and don't harm your corals...as stated usually feed on waste that gets trapped or builds up in the crevices of the sps...just be careful there is some thought that they do turn to nipping on the host coral itself if food becomes non existent...don't know if there is any fact to this though.

I have similar looking ones including the white ones that Viper is talking about. They all look very similar except for their colour... They live only in my SPS and they seem to be fine. I wouldn't worry, unless they start walking around off the corals.

I didnt see the normal stripe between the eyes like you get with the white bandit crabs

I have 3 of the first one in 3 different acro colonies, they are absolutely fine. I've had all 3 for 6 months without an issue. In fact if I go near the coral with my hands they snap there claws at me :)

I have even heard that they help keep the coral healthy, by clearing suspended sediment that gets caught in the coral and apparently they also encourage good healthy growth.

The problem being that there are lots of different types and I'm never sure if they good or bad. Like the second pic, I haven't seen before.

I have several in my acros, I leave them alone. They are not furry. They look like bandits with the black stripe across the eyes
